the cosmic horror implications of timeloops are fascinating if you actually stop to think about it. because in order to trap someone in a situation like that you’d either have to reset all of time with each loop, which suggests a staggeringly horrifying scale of power and personal pettiness, or you’d have to isolate an area of effect to keep replaying like a broken record while the rest of time continues around it, posing potentially destructive consequences for the integrity of reality itself if people and things caught in the timeloop fail to show up in the present and effect change outside of it.

also, consider what happens if the timeloop is broken unconventionally, or damaged somehow, allowing its inhabitants to escape without actually satisfying the conditions necessary to close it. would the people inside it find themselves outside the fabric of reality itself? would they be erased from existence? would they branch off into a new timeline that previously never existed but is now rushing to fill the void like water from a burst pipe? would the timeloop continue to exist even though its intended victims no longer inhabited it, forming an exclusion zone that can suck you in and contaminate you with its radioactive decay?

Amaryllis is, uh, just a little startled and overwhelmed by Lae'zel and Karlach’s… Ahem, interest in her. She’s too Demi-romantic & demi-sexual for this kinda stuff ok, suddenly asking her for sex is the easiest way to get her scared and spooked and run away from you

(she’s using Astarion to hide lol he finds it kind of hilarious, but also weirdly happy that she decided to come to him for “protection”)

Also! Amaryllis tends to be very blunt, open, honest, etc. If someone asks her something, she’ll say what she thinks outright (she grows out of this later in her DnD campaign, but it takes a while & her learning more social cues). Often, if the person she’s talking to asks about their appearance, and they’re attractive, Amy will just say they’re beautiful, no hesitation. Not bc she’s attracted to them, but just bc it’s the truth

So Astarion asking her what she sees when she looks at him would probably go something like this fkgjfhf no hesitation, just “You’re beautiful, ethereal even”

Astarion just has no idea how to deal with this strange, weird woman (that he’s somehow growing attached to despite it all- or maybe because of her odd traits)
